Meet Robby

Robby Bruza develops and facilitates clinical trainings specializing in The ASAM Criteria, Fourth Edition, family engagement, children’s services, trauma informed practices, whole person, and whole family care. He partners with an array of clients to design and deliver engaging training experiences and resources—including presentations, workbooks, and trainer support materials—that strengthen staff competencies and enhance service delivery.

Robby joined Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation in 2017, first working as a Children’s Program Counselor and Virtual Program Manager, before joining the Clinical Training Team in 2023. His professional and academic background centers on family systems, developmental trauma, and supporting children and families impacted by substance use disorders. Prior to joining Hazelden Betty Ford, Robby held project management roles in educational technology and nonprofit settings, contributing expertise in program development, facilitation, and cross department collaboration.

Robby has a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and a certification in Developmental Trauma and Attachment through Chaddock.
