Two-Day Virtual Skill-Building Training: Understanding The ASAM Criteria, Fourth Edition and Its Clinical Application
OVERVIEW
The ASAM Criteria, Fourth Edition presents a practical framework for providing patient-centered assessment and treatment planning services to individuals with addictive, substance-related, and co-occurring conditions.
This training is designed to guide healthcare professionals through core concepts, standards, and processes of the recently released Fourth Edition of The ASAM Criteria, including:
- Principles of The ASAM Criteria
- Organization of the continuum of care
- Conducting multidimensional Level of Care and Treatment Planning Assessments
- Utilizing the new Dimensional Admission Criteria and level of care determination rules to make level of care recommendations
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Define foundational principles and key components of The ASAM Criteria, Fourth Edition.
- Identify the treatment levels that make up the Fourth Edition’s continuum of care and explain how integrated care is incorporated within the different levels of care.
- Understand the multidimensional assessment dimensions, subdimensions, and integrated Risk Ratings, and how they are applied within assessment and treatment planning contexts.
- Utilize The ASAM Criteria Level of Care Assessment and apply the Dimensional Admission Criteria to make level of care recommendations.
